 Biography

The year of receiving the highest degree of professional qualification MA, 2019.

Milena Sekulić was born in Sremska Mitrovica, where she completed elementary school and gymnasium. She enrolled in academic studies in 2014. In 2018, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in teaching Geography, and in 2019, her Master of Science in teaching Geography degree at the Faculty of Science, University of Novi Sad. She enrolled in doctoral studies in 2019 at the same faculty, on the PhD in Geosciences – Geography. In 2022, the topic of her doctoral dissertation entitled “Marriage and cohabitation in Vojvodina” was approved.

From 2018, she was engaged as a demonstrator in classes, then from 2019 as a Research Trainee, and from 2023 as a Research Assistant in eight courses at the Chair of Social Geography, Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management, at the Faculty of Science in Novi Sad. From 2020 to 2022, she actively participated in the work of the Marketing team of the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management.

She was hired as an enumerator in the 2022 Census of Population, Households and Dwellings.

Currently, she is working as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Social Sciences, Centre for Demographic Research.
