Biography

Dušica (Goran) Kovačević was born in 1994 in Loznica. After graduating from high school “Vuk Karadzic” in Loznica, she enrolled at the Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade. She completed her basic academic studies in 2017 as the best student of generation. In 2018, she successfully defended her master’s thesis entitled – Legal regulation of cryptocurrencies from the aspect of national security at the Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad. In the mentioned year, she enrolled in doctoral academic studies at the same higher education institution.
She completed her professional practice in the Sector for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior (Belgrade). She was the president of the Student Parliament of the Faculty of Security Studies (SPFB), a member of the Center for National Security Management in Belgrade, and a member of the Ethics Commission of the Faculty of Security Studies. During 2017, she was hired as a demonstrator at the Faculty of Security Studies.
She has participated in the organization of several national and international conferences: Belt and Road-Balkan Perspective, Urban Security and Urban Cooperation, Conference on Modern Youth Entrepreneurship; as well as regional seminars: Security for All, The Power of Knowledge in a Secure Future.
She has exhibited her works at several scientific conferences. Of great importance is the participation: in the Youth Forum Current Problems of Eurasian Security, organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO); at the international scientific conference – Legal Tradition and New Legal Challenges (Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad); at the international scientific conference of special importance Transformative Technologies: Legal and Ethical Challenges of the 21st Century organized by the Center for Bioethical Studies and the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics (European Section); at the international conference Enhancement: Cognitive, Moral and Mood, organized by the Center for Ethics and Humanities at the University of Oxford.
She was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, as well as the Fund for Young Talents. She was awarded the Charter of the University of Belgrade for exceptional contribution and success during her studies.
