At the round table “Actualities of Medical Law – Theory, Practice and Legislation”, held on September 25, 2020. a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Institute of Social Sciences and the Bar Association of Vojvodina was promoted. The works of the participants are exhibited in issues 1 and 2 of book 80 of the Gazette of the Bar Association of Vojvodina for 2020. After the introductory speech, the participants presentations were divided into three blocks of topics related to the development of medical law: retrospective, present (de lege lata), future (de lege ferenda).
Fifteen grouped topics were presented at the gathering, which initiated discussions on health care for marginalized groups in society, on the shortcomings of the law on patients’ rights when it comes to its interpretation, procedural issues and legal protection. The contribution of the introduction of teaching by prof. J. Radišić, the founder of the study of medical law in Serbia. The concluding remarks highlighted the need to change the regulations and harmonize the issues in legal practice.
