Branislav Muškatirović is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in systems theory and social cybernetics, with a focus on the comparative study of capitalist and socialist social systems. His current doctoral research, “The Reform of 1965 Through the Lens of Social Cybernetics: System Modification or System Transformation?”, examines the impact of economic reforms on systemic change in socialist Yugoslavia.
Previously, he worked as a social analyst and social management specialist at the consultancy firm Arup, where he contributed to various infrastructure development projects addressing social risk and impact the projects had on the local community, and in designing IFI-alligned mitigation measures. He also has extensive experience as an English and Sociology teacher in primary and secondary schools across Serbia, concurrently holding administrative and organizational roles. His work in education centered on implementing Ministry-led initiatives aimed at improving Serbia’s educational system.
In addition to his professional roles, he has participated in research projects at the Institute for Sociological Research, including contributions to the European Social Survey (ESS).
