In a significant step towards expanding research capacities and strengthening international collaborations within the SAIGE project, five researchers from the Institute of Social Sciences (IDN) recently concluded a successful study tour at the renowned National Institute for Demographic Studies (INED) in Paris. The visit, held from September 25 to 28, marks a continuation of the successful cooperation initiated through the Horizon Twinning Bottom-Up project.
During the study tour, IDN researchers participated in two key meetings. The first meeting with the esteemed expert from INED, Dr. Patrick Simon, and his associates focused on discussions about data collection, advanced analysis, and demographic trends in the context of minority groups. The second meeting included discussions with the International Migrations and Minorities Research Group, along with the exchange of ideas with researchers from the Statistical Methodology Service and the Survey Methodology Service. This exchange aimed to identify areas where INED could best assist IDN in their research endeavors.
Finally, a high-profile meeting took place between the director of IDN and the director of INED. The discussion focused on exploring potential areas of collaboration, data collection methodologies, and conversations about analytical advancements.
