According to the Decision of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia on establishing the List of Categorized Scientific Journals for 2023, the journal Stanovništvo (Population) is classified in the M23 category of scientific journals for sociology and demography published in the Republic of Serbia.
Stanovništvo is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal of population studies. One of the oldest demographic journals in the world and the oldest in the Balkans, Stanovništvo was first published in 1963 by the Demographic Research Center of the Institute of Social Sciences, Belgrade (Serbia).
