The promotion of the 41st issue of the scientific journal Religion and Tolerance, jointly published since last year by the Institute of Social Sciences and the Center for Empirical Research of Religion from Novi Sad, will be held on June 5, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Institute of Social Sciences, in the main hall the on the first floor.
The journal Religion and Tolerance was originally started by Professor Zorica Kuburić at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad at the beginning of the 2000s. It launched as an annual in 2002, and since 2004 it has been published as a scientific journal semi-annually. Today, the magazine’s editors are Zorica Kuburić and Mirko Blagojević. In the editorial office and the Publishing Council, there are renowned domestic and foreign authors who have been successfully analyzing the religious phenomenon for many years. Already established scientists, as well as young authors who are just starting their professional careers, publish their articles in the journal. The main topics of the magazine are related to the research of religiosity, faith, religious phenomenon with an interdisciplinary focus of study, as well as religious tolerance. Cooperation with the Institute of Social Sciences expanded the thematic circle of the magazine and included topics such as attachment to religion and the church, inter-confessional relations in Serbia, the region and Europe, individual and social relevance of religion, empirical research on intrinsic religiosity, minority religious and national communities, multiculturalism.
