Hans Martin Dietz has, for more than 30 years, been dealing with the problems of systemic approach to development in the context of complexity of knowledge, policy-making, as well as management of the issue of refugees in vulnerable and unstable regions (South Asia, Middle East, Western Balkans).
He has worked for numerous organisations and institutions, including the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and HELVETAS. He taught at the King’s College in London and the University of Reading, and he also took on advisory roles with the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, World Food Programme and Caritas in India.
