On Friday, 26 June 2020, the first meeting within the project Western Balkans European Social Survey Regional Network was held, coordinated by the Institute of Social Sciences as part of the broader Sustain 2 project supported by the European Commission.
The meeting was attended by the director of the Institute of Social Sciences Dr. Goran Basic, representative of the European Commission Bernhard Fabianek, representative of the Regional Cooperation Council Sinisa Marcic, and the project coordinator Nenad Celarevic, together with the regional coordinators. The participants of the meeting first discussed the planning of the upcoming regional conference in Montenegro. Then, the director of the European Social Survey, Dr. Rory Fitzgerald, addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of participation of the Western Balkans countries in this European research.
The last part of the meeting was dedicated to the implementation of a representative web panel, presented by Sveinung Arnesen from Stanford University.
