In order to strengthen cooperation with scientific centers in the region, a three-day conference of the Academic Network for Cooperation in Southeast Europe was held under the title “National Minorities in the Post-Yugoslav Space.”
The event took place from May 24 to May 27 in Ulcinj, and the following decisions were adopted on the proposal of the Institute of Social Sciences (IDN): the “Center for Minorities Issues” from Flensburg, the “Leibniz-Institut für Ost- und Südosteuropaforschung” from Regensburg, and the Institute for Ethnic Studies from Maribor joined the AMSIE network.
Participants in the conference agreed on the need to develop a regional project for the upcoming Horizon call. Additionally, a work program was elaborated, aiming to provide support to the expert bodies of the Council of Europe regarding the monitoring of public policies in Southeast Europe related to social inclusion and anti-discrimination in this region by the end of 2023.
The meeting of the Academic Network for Cooperation in Southeast Europe (AMSIE) was held in the framework of the SAIGE project.
