Book Talk: “Traces of Justice: From Cosmopolis to Algorithm”

The Centre for International and Security Studies at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb, is organizing a discussion on the book Traces of Justice: From Cosmopolis to Algorithm by Dr. Goran Bašić, published by the Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade.

The book opens a discussion on the idea of justice and social inclusion in contemporary society, tracing its development from the philosophical and political traditions of cosmopolitan thought to the challenges of the digital age. Particular attention is given to the relationship between empirical knowledge, public policies and emerging technologies that increasingly shape the way societies understand inequality and social cohesion.

The book will be discussed by Assistant Professor Ana Matan (Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb) and Professor Natalija Perišić (Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade), with Professor Siniša Tatalović serving as moderator. The event will be opened by Professor Marta Zorko, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb.
The discussion offers an opportunity for an academic exchange on contemporary challenges facing the social sciences and on the possibilities of rethinking the idea of justice in new social and technological contexts.
