Director of the Institute of Social Sciences from 2002 to 2015 and Head of the Centre for Demographic Research from 1993 to 2022. Lecturer at the Demography Department of the Faculty of Geography of the University of Belgrade since 2002.
She started her academic career in the Institute for the Healthcare Protection of Mother and Child of Serbia “Dr Vojkan Čupić”. She has been Principal Research Fellow since 2003, and Full Professor since 2008.
Leader of different projects, including strategic ones. Editor of the Stanovništvo (Population) journal from 1996 to 2010. Member of the Serbian Demographers’ Association, SASA Board for the Study of Population, Social Sciences Department of Matica Srpska, International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) and European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC).
