On March 18, 2025, the Institute of Social Sciences hosted a lecture titled “Writing a Successful MSCA Proposal”, delivered by Dr. Ivana Arsić, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. Dr. Ivana Arsić is a research associate at the Center for Sociological and Anthropological Research. Drawing on her own experience as an MSCA fellow, Dr. Arsić presented key insights into the application process for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships within the Horizon Europe Programme.
She provided practical advice on structuring competitive proposals, aligning project objectives with evaluation criteria, and addressing essential elements such as excellence, impact, and implementation. The lecture aimed to support researchers interested in applying for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, especially within the social sciences and humanities, offering guidance to strengthen future applications. Also, additional opportunities for networking were discussed in order to strengthen international cooperation through joint projects in the country and abroad.
In addition to the exchange of knowledge and experience, this lecture also aimed to point out the importance of training young researchers abroad and the openness of the Institute of Social Sciences to academic migration in the context of development.
