The final conference of the UK–Serbia Science & Innovation Fellowship Programme brought together representatives of academia, research institutions, public institutions, the business community and international partner organisations to exchange experiences and strengthen scientific collaboration between Serbia and the United Kingdom, with a particular focus on innovation and knowledge transfer.
Representing the Institute of Social Sciences, Dr Nena Vasojević, Deputy Director of the Institute and mentor to research trainee Branislav Muškatirović, a participant in the programme, addressed the attendees. She highlighted the programme’s significance, shared insights gained during its implementation, and discussed opportunities for further strengthening institutional and international cooperation.
Dr Vasojević also presented the results of the project and emphasised the Institute’s commitment to developing partnerships with the private sector.
The conference was attended by Edward Ferguson, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Serbia, as well as representatives of the British Council and UK International Development, alongside representatives of relevant institutions, universities and partner organisations.
The Institute also participated in the panel discussion “Spin-outs & Consultancy on the Faculty Level: UCL, LSE, & Cambridge to Serbia,” which included a presentation entitled “Developing Consultancy Services with the Private Sector.”
The event provided an opportunity to showcase the achievements of the Fellowship Programme, strengthen institutional partnerships, and explore new avenues for cooperation between academia, the public sector and the private sector.
