The 7th international sociological-religiological gathering, organized by the Institute of Social Sciences from Belgrade (the Forum for Religious Issues and the Center for Sociological and Anthropological Research) and the Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communication of the Belgorod State-National and Research University (Russian Federation), titled Religion in the Global Crisis of Late Modernity, took place on the 9-10 September 2022 at Silver Lake, Veliko Gradište.
Apart from researchers from domestic scientific-research institutions such as the Institute of Social Sciences (Belgrade), Institute of Comparative Law (Belgrade), Institute for Political Studies (Belgrade), Faculty of Philosophy (Belgrade), Faculty of Philosophy (Niš), and other domestic institutions, the event also included authors from Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Russia.
From the perspective of different social disciplines that study the phenomenon of religion, the authors tried to link different aspects of the global war, economic, financial, energy, ecological, and cultural crises with religion and church in regional and European contexts.
The conference included a total of 24 papers and 30 participants.
The gathering was a two-day event: the first day started with two plenary sessions and the second included four thematic sessions. Between two plenary sessions, there was a promotion of the book by the Bulgarian author Dr. Nonka Bogomilova titled On the marked roads of Balkans (in Bulgarian) published in 2020 by Paradigma publishing house.
