Researchers from the Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade participated in the 1st General Meeting of the COST Action TraFaDy “Transnational Family Dynamics in Europe”, which was held at the Aleksandar Moisiu University, Durrës, Albania, from 22-24 February, 2023.
At the meetings of the Management Committee, as well as through panel discussions within the six working groups of the TraFaDy project, during the three days of the meeting, a significant contribution was made to the analysis of various aspects of transnational families and a plan for further research work was made.
More than sixty scientists from almost thirty European countries participated in the work. The Institute of Social Sciences was represented by researchers from the Demographic Research Centre and the Center for Sociological and Anthropological Research: Vesna Lukić, Ivan Marinković, Nena Vasojević and Jelena Predojević Despić, who is the leader of the TraFaDy Working Group 5 “Talking across disciplines: methodological issues in TNF research and data collection”.
European CO-operation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research – COST is funded under the EU Horizon 202 R&I Framework Programme. The goal of COST actions (projects) is to create new concepts and products through a four-year collaboration of interdisciplinary research networks on a chosen topic. The networks mostly bring together researchers from the academic community, but also experts and innovators from SMEs, public institutions and other relevant organizations.
