The final event and presentation of the main results of the project “International student migration in the Serbian context and (re)construction of identity: Main issues and inputs for policy making” (IS-MIGaIN), financed by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia within the program “IDENTITIES” (2023 – 2025), will be held on 24 March 2025 at the Institute of Social Sciences, starting at noon. The project has been jointly implemented by researchers from the Institute of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade – Department of Sociology, the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of Serbia, and the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad – Department of Sociology.
The main goal of this reesarch project is to expand scientific knowledge about the patterns of international student migration in the context of Serbia, as well as investigate the impact of migration experience and adaptation to a new social environment on the reshaping of their identities.
The principal investigator (PI), Vesna Lukić, will present the main results of project activities. As one of the main results of the project a thematic collection of papers, “International Student Migration and Identities”, published by the Institute of Social Sciences will be promoted. The editor of the Series Empirical Research of the ISS, Dr. Irena Ristić, and the reviewers, Dr. Mirjana Bobić and Dr. Dalibor Savić, will discuss this collection of articles.
