Patrick Simon is the Director of Research at the public institute INED (National Demographic Institute) in Paris. He is the Chair of the “Integration and Discrimination” (INTEGER) department of the Institute for Migrations. He is also a research fellow at the Observatoire Sociologique du Changement (OSC), Paris.
He has been a visiting professor at the NYU, CUNY, and the University of Liege. He is a member of editorial boards of the following journals: Ethnic and Racial Studies; Journal of Race and Ethnicity and Politics.
He taught at universities in Germany, Hungary, France, Mexico, Switzerland and USA.
