On March 22, 2023, the Institute of Social Sciences and the Leibniz Institute for Eastern and Southeastern Europe, a leading research institution in the field of East and Southeast European Studies in Germany with headquarters in Regensburg, signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the premises of IDN.
The Agreement was signed on behalf of the two institutions by the directors of the Leibniz Institute, Prof. Dr. Ulf Brunnbauer and the Institute of Social Sciences, Dr. Goran Bašić
Further cooperation between the two institutes was agreed upon in the field of strengthening networking in Southeastern Europe research, particularly through the Academic Network for Cooperation in SEE, the development and implementation of international projects, as well as the organization of joint international scientific meetings, conferences and workshops, study tours, researcher exchange, and the publication of scientific papers.
