As part of the Lecture Series for Young Researchers at the Institute of Social Sciences, a lecture was held on the topic “Medical Security Measures in the Criminal Legislation of the Republic of Serbia” by Master of Law Jagoda Drljača, engaged at the Center for Legal Research.
The lecture focused on two psychiatric security measures: their place in the system of criminal sanctions, the historical development of these measures, their specificities in comparison to other security measures, and the conditions for imposing these two medical measures. Additionally, the lecture addressed the shortcomings in the legal definition of these measures, weaknesses in the execution practice, and proposed specific solutions aimed at reforming them in accordance with modern trends in this field.
