Round table "Individualism" held at the Institute of Social Sciences
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Institute of Social Sciences, a Symposium on Individualism took place on Friday 20 October 2017, at the Institute. It was organized by the Department for Anthropological Research (part of the Institute of Social Sciences’ Centre for Sociological and Anthropological Research). The authors of the edited collection Individualism, edited by Suzana Ignjatovic and Aleksandar Boskovic, were the main discussants in the symposium. The edited volume consists of ten chapters, written by the scholars from Serbia, Montenegro, USA, and Canada. The Symposium consisted of two panel discussions: Individualism: theories and concepts (with Aleksandar Bošković, Suzana Ignjatović, Patrick Laviolette and Smiljka Tomanović as the main discussants), and Individualism, identities, and the social context (with Suzana Ignjatović, Zoran Pavlović, Emilija Mijić and Marinko Lolić as the main discussants).
